Did you know that twisters turn counter clockwise in places above the earth's equator, and they turn clockwise in places below the equator? Did you know that an airplane view of a tornado's destructive path reveals that it travels in a complete circle?

 

While a twister may not be stopped singlehandedly, other storms in life can be.
